About Gargargia on the Verdurous Planet

Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet is a Japanese anime television series produced by Production I.G and directed by Kazuya Murata. The show first premiered on Tokyo MX on April 7, 2013. The series tells the story of Ledo, a young soldier from space who gets marooned on a water-logged Earth, and his adventures on the Gargantia fleet.

Making / Production

The anime was a collaborative effort between author Gen Urobuchi, director Kazuya Murata and manga artist Hanaharu Naruko. Mechanical designs were done by Makoto Ishiwata of NITROPLUS, with the anime script also penned by Gen Urobuchi.

Actors

  • Hisako Kanemoto as Amy - Kanemoto played Amy, a cheerful and kind-hearted messenger who became Ledo's guide in the new world. She effectively portrayed the character's joyful nature and stubborn spirit.
