About George of the Jungle
"George of the Jungle", released in 1997, tells the story of a man-child raised in the heart of the African jungle. George, played by Brendan Fraser, is a lovable buffoon raised by gorillas after surviving a plane crash as a baby. Among his best friends are Tookie, a big-beaked toucan messenger; Ape, a witty talking gorilla; and Shep, an aged, peanut-loving elephant. When poachers threaten George's jungle family, he springs into action, navigating various vine-covered obstacles.

The film is a comedy live-action adaptation of the cartoon series of the same name and was directed by Sam Weisman. The movie was produced by Walt Disney Pictures, with Mandeville Films and Avnet–Kerner Productions and the extensive shooting took place in both California and Hawaii.
