About Get Rich or Die Tryin'
Get Rich or Die Tryin' is a 2005 American hip-hop biopic crime film starring rapper 50 Cent. It is a semi-autobiographical film, centered around the life of 50 Cent. Marcus (played by 50 Cent) is a quiet young boy who adores his loving mother. After her death, the world of Marcus gets turned around, forcing him into drug dealing. After a deal goes awry, he ended up being shot multiple times and left for dead. His near-death experience influences his decision to leave the drug trade and get into the rap industry, aspiring to become rich legitimately or "die trying".
