About Ginger & Rosa

'Ginger & Rosa' is a 2013 British drama film directed by Sally Potter. The film takes place in 1960s London against the backdrop of the Cuban Missile Crisis. The story revolves around two inseparable best friends, Ginger and Rosa, as they navigate through adolescence and the ups and downs of their intense friendship.

Ginger (Elle Fanning) becomes obsessed with the threat of nuclear apocalypse as political tensions rise, while Rosa (Alice Englert) gravitates more towards boyish interests. Their friendship begins to fracture when Rosa starts an affair with Ginger's father, Roland (Alessandro Nivola).
