Making / Production

The production of Godzilla was a significant undertaking that began in 2010. Legendary Pictures acquired the rights from Toho to produce a brand-new Godzilla franchise and brought in Gareth Edwards to direct the movie. The film was shot using IMAX cameras, and the visual effects were handled by Moving Picture Company (MPC), who created a detailed CGI model of Godzilla for the film.
