About The Head

"The Head" is an atmospheric, character-driven thriller set in the isolated Polaris VI Antarctic Research Station during the long and grueling winter months. The plot revolves around a small international team who remain there to continue their research. As months of winter darkness loom ahead, their communication with the outside world is severed, and their excitement turns into a fight for survival. When spring approaches, the team finds most of their colleagues dead with mysterious circumstances surrounding it.

Making / Production

The TV series "The Head" was produced by The Mediapro Studio with Ran Tellem serving as the executive producer. The cinematic series showcases an international team of scientists in a brutal, harsh environment, making for a claustrophobic setting that is most conducive to suspense and mystery. The series was filmed in the Canary Islands and Iceland to truly capture the remote, icy landscapes of the Antarctic.

Actors

• John Lynch stars as Arthur Wilde, the station’s commander who leads with his wit and charisma. His strong leadership presence was felt throughout the show.
• Katharine O'Donnelly plays Aether's doctor, Maggie. Her character is marked by strength, determination, and a relentless pursuit of truth.
