About Hereafter (HBO)

Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Clint Eastwood, "Hereafter" is a thought-provoking drama movie that interweaves three distinct storylines about three people affected by death in different ways. George Lonegan (Matt Damon) is a blue-collar American who has a mysterious connection with the afterlife. On the other side of the world, Marie LeLay (Cécile de France), a French journalist, suffers a near-death experience that shakes her reality. When Marcus, a London schoolboy, loses the person closest to him, he desperately seeks answers. When their paths intersect, each will begin to glimpse the reality of life after death.

Clint Eastwood, having a career spanning six decades, crafts a deeply moving tale about the human need to find answers about the world beyond. Eastwood also co-produced the film along with Robert Lorenz and Steven Spielberg. The film's screenplay was written by Peter Morgan.
