Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Clint Eastwood, "Hereafter" is a thought-provoking drama movie that interweaves three distinct storylines about three people affected by death in different ways. Released in 2010, the film explores ideas of mortality, the afterlife, and the human connections in the face of death.

George Lonegan (Matt Damon) is a blue-collar American who has a mysterious connection with the afterlife. On the other side of the world, Marie LeLay (Cécile de France), a French journalist, suffers a near-death experience that shakes her reality. When Marcus, a London schoolboy, loses the person closest to him, he desperately seeks answers. When their paths intersect, each will begin to glimpse the reality of life after death.

Clint Eastwood, having a career spanning six decades, crafts a deeply moving tale about the human need to find answers about the world beyond. Eastwood also co-produced the film along with Robert Lorenz and Steven Spielberg. The film's screenplay was written by Peter Morgan.
