"High School Musical 3: Senior Year" is a 2008 American musical film and is the third installment in the High School Musical trilogy. Produced and released by Walt Disney Pictures, the film is centered on the senior year of high school for the main characters and their goals for their future. The lead characters, Troy and Gabriella, face the prospect of separation as they head off to different colleges. Along with their friends, they stage an elaborate spring musical reflecting their experiences, hopes, and fears about their future.

The movie was directed by Kenny Ortega, who also contributed to the film as the choreographer. The screenplay was written by Peter Barsocchini. The film was primarily shot at East High School in Salt Lake City, Utah, the same location as the first two movies. Some scenes were also filmed in Los Angeles, California. The film was the first in the series to receive a theatrical release.
