The Hunter is a 2012 Australian drama film, directed by Daniel Nettheim and produced by Vincent Sheehan. The film is based on the 1999 novel of the same name by Julia Leigh. It follows Martin, a mercenary, sent from Europe by a mysterious biotech company to the Tasmanian wilderness on a hunt for the last Tasmanian tiger.
