Hunter x Hunter is a popular anime television series that originally aired from 2011 to 2014. Based on the manga series of the same name by Yoshihiro Togashi, the show revolves around a young boy named Gon Freecss, who discovers that his father, who he was led to believe was dead, is actually a world-renowned Hunter, a licensed professional who specializes in fantastical pursuits such as locating rare or unidentified animal species, treasure hunting, surveying unexplored enclaves, or hunting down lawless individuals. Determined to become a Hunter and meet his father, Gon embarks on a journey to take the rigorous Hunter examination and follow in his father's footsteps.

Making / Production

The 2011 Hunter x Hunter adaptation was developed by studio Madhouse and it was directed by Hiroshi Kōjina. The writers and producers stayed faithful to the original manga, presenting a series filled with adventure, fantasy, and plenty of action.
