About Ice Age: Continental Drift
Ice Age: Continental Drift, the fourth installment in the Ice Age series, was released in 2012. The animation comedy adventure tells the story of Manny, Sid, and Diego, who are set adrift on an iceberg and fight against pirates while coming across various exotic sea creatures as their home continent drifts apart. They make a heroic journey to get back to their families.
Making / Production
Produced by Blue Sky Studios and distributed by 20th Century Fox, the film was helmed by directors Steve Martino and Mike Thurmeier. The screenplay was written by Michael Berg and Jason Fuchs. The design and animation were created over a multi-year process and benefitted from the latest computer-animation technologies of the time.
Actors
- Ray Romano as Manny - Romano delivered an engaging performance as the woolly mammoth, Manny, bringing a paternal charm to his character.
- John Leguizamo as Sid - Leguizamo lent his comedic talents to bring to life Sid, the lovably goofy sloth.
