"Impractical Jokers" is an American hidden camera reality show with improvisational elements, produced by NorthSouth Productions. The show first premiered on TruTV in December 2011. The series follows four lifelong friends - Brian "Q" Quinn, James "Murr" Murray, Joe Gatto, and Sal Vulcano, collectively known as the comedy troupe The Tenderloins as they live in New York City and coerce one another into doing public pranks while being filmed by hidden cameras.

Making / Production

The idea for the show came from conversations among the members of The Tenderloins about comic embarrassments and awkward situations. This idea was eventually developed into Impractical Jokers, which premiered in 2011 on TruTV. The series is produced by NorthSouth Productions.
