The Incredible Hulk is an American superhero film featuring the Marvel Comics character Hulk, produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Universal Pictures (the second film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe). It is directed by Louis Leterrier, with a screenplay by Zak Penn.
The plot picks up during the final moments of Hulk's genesis, as Dr. Bruce Banner (Edward Norton) becomes subjected to an overdose of gamma radiation which transforms him into the Hulk whenever his heart rate goes above 200. On the run from the military, Banner seeks a cure to his condition, while also contending with the monstrous Abomination.
Making / Production
The Incredible Hulk was directed by Louis Leterrier with the production budget of approximately $150 million. The filming began 2007 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and parts of New York City. To create the Hulk, Norton performed the actions in motion capture suits, and the special effects were finished by Industrial Light & Magic.
Actors
- Edward Norton as Bruce Banner/ Hulk. Norton portrayed the character with a sense of fear and anxiety, understanding Banner's desperation to rid himself of the Hulk.
- Liv Tyler as Betty Ross. Tyler enhanced the character's warmth and connection with Bruce, deepening the emotional stakes of the film.
- Tim Roth as Emil Blonsky/ Abomination. Roth offers a menacing performance, effectively embodying the villain role that mirrors the Hulk's destructive force.

- The initial script was over 200 pages, which had to be reduced by Edward Norton.
