About Jane

"Jane" is a 2017 American biographical documentary film directed by Brett Morgen which focuses on the life and work of Jane Goodall, a world-renowned prime minister who broke the gender barriers to become one of the world's most significant names in animal science. The story is told through never-before-seen footage and interviews, unveiling Goodall's journey and discoveries about nature and the animal kingdom.

Making / Production

The film was edited by fellow director Joe Beshenkovsky and co-produced by Bryan Burk, Tony Gerber, and the National Geographic Studios. Key to the film's distinctive atmosphere are the 140 hours of heretofore unseen footage shot by documentarian Hugo van Lawick in his trips with Goodall in the 1960s.
