About The Jungle Book: Mowgli's Story

Released in 1998, "The Jungle Book: Mowgli's Story" is a live-action adaptation of Rudyard Kipling's classic collection of stories combined with animation. The movie focuses on the sylvan childhood of Mowgli who was raised by a pack of wolves in the jungles of India. As he learns the often harsh rules of the jungle, under the tutelage of a bear named Baloo and a black panther named Bagheera, he becomes accepted by the animals of the jungle as one of their own. All except the fearsome tiger Shere Khan. But there may be greater dangers lurking in the jungle, as Mowgli comes face to face with his human origins.

The movie was produced by Walt Disney Home Video and directed by Nick Marck. The script was written by Jose Rivera and Jim Herzfeld. The animation coupled with live-action makes it a unique and exciting watch.

Actors

• Brandon Baker played the character of Mowgli. He portrayed the raw and innocent yet brave boy raised in the jungle exceptionally well.
• Eartha Kitt lent her voice for the cunning and sly python, Kaa.
• Clancy Brown did the voice-over for the ferocious and cruel tiger, Shere Khan.
• Brian Doyle-Murray became the voice of the fun-loving and caring bear, Baloo.
