About Kill la Kill

"Kill la Kill" is a 2013 TV series, that follows the story of Ryuko Matoi, a strong and tenacious school girl. Her journey following the mysterious clues around her father's tragic and sudden death leads her to Honnouji Academy, a school known for granting its elite students superhuman powers through special uniforms known as "Goku Uniforms."

The academy is under the military-style rule of the student body president, Satsuki Kiryuin, who governs with absolute power and dread. Ryuko strives to confront Satsuki to unravel her father's mysterious death, unknowing of the explosive conflict that it will ignite, consuming the whole academy.

The anime series, produced by Trigger and directed by Hiroyuki Imaishi, with character designs by Sushio and music by Hiroyuki Sawano, premiered in Japan between October 4, 2013, and March 28, 2014.
