About La Luna

La Luna is a 3D computer-animated family film that was released by Pixar in 2012 and directed by Enrico Casarosa. The movie follows a young boy named Bambino, who embarks on a night-time adventure with his father Papà and grandfather Nonno, rowing far out to sea to perform their unusual family tradition.

The young boy is introduced to the family business for the very first time on this night. The family's unusual line of work includes sweeping fallen stars that sit on the surface of the moon. Throughout the adventure, young Bambino learns to find his own way among his father's and grandfather's contradicting teachings and opinions.

The movie "La Luna" is the timeless fable of a young boy coming of age in the most peculiar of circumstances. It has its roots in director Enrico’s personal life and is influenced by the legends of his childhood, growing up on the coasts of the Italian Riviera. It took around 4 years to complete the entire production.
