About La Strada

La Strada a 1954 Italian drama film directed by Federico Fellini. The plot chronicles the journey of Gelsomina, a naive and free-spirited girl who is sold by her impoverished mother to Zampanò, an itinerant strongman. After continuous ill-treatment, Gelsomina meets another circus performer, the Fool, who teaches her the joy of life and gives her the strength to stand against Zampanò's tyranny. The movie ends in tragedy, with Gelsomina losing her will to live after the Fool is killed, and Zampanò grieving her loss in a desolate beach
