About Log Horizon

The TV Series, Log Horizon, which premiered in 2013, is based on a Japanese novel series written by Mamare Touno. The storyline revolves around Shiroe, a socially awkward student, and other gamers who get transported to a virtual reality world of their favourite game 'Elder Tale'. Having no idea how to escape, they must navigate this new reality, fighting risks and challenges their new world throws at them. Immersed in combat with varying degrees of success, the virtual world is intricately detailed, drawing parallels with real-world scenarios.

Making / Production

The animation for Log Horizon was created by Satelight Studios and was later taken over by Studio Deen for the third season. The series is directed by Shinji Ishihira and the script is written by Toshizō Nemoto. Its engrossing storyline and virtual reality concept makes it a strong contender in the pantheon of successful anime.
