Love Island is a British dating reality series that originally aired in 2015. The show involves a group of contestants, referred to as "Islanders", each living in solitude from the outside world in a villa in Mallorca, Spain. In an environment of constant surveillance, the Islanders must couple-up with another Islander – whether it be for love, friendship or money, as the overall winning couple receives £50,000. The show is narrated by Iain Stirling and was hosted by the late Caroline Flack.

The show is produced by ITV Studios and is broadcast on ITV2. The concept was created by Richard Cowles and was inspired by the cultural phenomenon of online dating. The villa where the contestants stay is fitted with more than 60 cameras, capturing their every move 24 hours a day.
