About Luis and the Aliens
Oscar–nominated animation producer and director Wolfgang Lauenstein directed the animated comedy "Luis and the Aliens." The movie, released in 2018, tells the story of a misfit 12-year-old boy who befriends extraterrestrial beings that have accidentally landed on Earth. The three goofy aliens are on a mission in search of a shopping channel product. Luis, who is neglected by his UFO-obsessed father, embarks on a wild adventure to help his new friends return home, while also escaping the wrath of his school's vice-principal.
Making / Production
"Luis and the Aliens" is a German-Luxembourgish-Danish co-production by Ulysses Films, Fabrique d’images, and A. Film Production. Announced in 2015, it took several years of effort by digital artists, production staff, and voice actors to bring the quirky characters to life. The animation was done using computer-generated imagery (CGI), giving a fascinating and colorful visual appeal to the movie.
