About The Making of WandaVision

ASSEMBLED: The Making of WandaVision, released in 2021, is an all-encompassing documentary that provides viewers with an insider's view into the creation of Marvel Studios' first fictional streaming series. The series itself shook up the traditional Marvel formula by incorporating the aesthetics and tone of classic sitcoms to tell its narrative. The central premise was driven by the ideal suburban life of the two MCU characters Wanda Maximoff and Vision.

Making / Production

WandaVision's steering team dared to experiment with a unique concept, combining the high-stakes drama of Marvel with the lighter world of sitcoms. Great lengths were taken to duplicate the filmmaking methodologies used in the earliest era of television. This included shooting an entire episode in front of a live studio audience, creating a unique combination of film and theater that presented unique challenges and rewards. The genius behind these strides was Disney+ which enabled voice creativity and flexibility in storytelling like never seen before in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
