"Maleficent: Mistress of Evil" is a 2019 American dark fantasy film directed by Joachim Rønning. From a story by Linda Woolverton and a screenplay by Linda Woolverton, Micah Fitzerman-Blue, and Noah Harpster, the movie presents a sequel to the 2014 film Maleficent, portraying the relationship between the horned fairy (Angelina Jolie) and her goddaughter Princess Aurora (Elle Fanning), as they deal with new threats to the magical creatures of the Moors.

Making / Production

The production of the movie began on May 29, 2018, at Pinewood Studios in England, and wrapped in August the same year. The film's costumes were designed by Ellen Mirojnick, who aimed at emphasizing the contrast between the fairy world of the Moors and the human kingdom.
