Mars Needs Moms is a 2011 American 3D motion-capture computer-animated science-fiction adventure comedy-drama film based on the Berkeley Breathed book of the same title. The film centers around a boy named Milo who gains a deeper appreciation for his mother after Martians come to Earth to take her away.
Making / Production
The film was produced by Robert Zemeckis' company ImageMovers Digital and directed by Simon Wells. It utilized the performance capture technique previously used by Zemeckis in his films The Polar Express, and Monster House.
Actors
- Seth Green portrays the main character, Milo. Green does an excellent job voicing the spirited and determined young boy.
- Joan Cusack provides the voice for Milo's mom. She superbly captures the warmth and caring character of a loving mother.
