About Marvel Studios' Avengers: Infinity War

"Avengers: Infinity War" is a 2018 American superhero film based on Marvel Comics' superhero team the Avengers. Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, the movie is the sequel to The Avengers (2012) and Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), and the 19th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The film marks a significant event in the MCU, as it embodies the culmination of all the previous movies.

The plot revolves around the villain Thanos, who aims to collect all six Infinity Stones to power the Infinity Gauntlet, and impose his will on all reality. The Avengers, along with Guardians of the Galaxy and several other superheroes, team up to stop Thanos from achieving his goal, leading to battles across different locations on Earth and space.

Making / Production

The film was announced in October 2014 as Avengers: Infinity War - Part 1, with principle photography beginning in January 2017 at Pinewood Atlanta Studios in Fayette County, Georgia. Filming back-to-back with Avengers: Endgame, the shooting concluded in July 2017.
