"Mater and the Ghostlight" is an animated short film that was released in November 2006. Set in the world of Cars, it features the character Mater, the rusty but trusty tow truck, who spends his day playing scary pranks on the townsfolk of Radiator Springs. Later on, during the night at Flo's V8 Café, Sheriff tells everyone about the chilling legend of the Ghostlight - a mysterious blue light that haunts those very parts. This leaves Mater anxious and scared, forcing him to face his fears alone in the dark. The Ghostlight story serves as a great morality tale, effortlessly teaching children about the importance of not letting their fears overcome them and the consequences of playing pranks on others.
