About The Men From Shiloh

The Men from Shiloh is a rebranded continuation of The Virginian, a popular television western that aired on NBC from 1962 to 1971. Set in the late 19th century, the show is centered around the Shiloh Ranch in Wyoming. It primarily follows the skilled foreman known only as 'The Virginian', his deputy Ryker, and a new ranch businessman, Colonel Alan MacKenzie. The show focuses on the numerous challenges they confront while trying to maintain law and order in the burgeoning West.

Making / Production

The Men from Shiloh was produced by NBC Productions in association with Revue Studios. The change in name in its ninth and final season was accompanied by a change in format as well, with the show presenting more mystery and intrigue, and less traditional western themes, compared to its earlier seasons.
