About Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas

Released in 2004, Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas, a 68-minute long American computer-animated direct-to-video fantasy comedy anthology film, produced by DisneyToon Studios. The film is a sequel to Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas and marks the first time Mickey Mouse and other Disney characters were presented in CGI animation.

The film contains five stories that all revolve around the core characters: Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Pluto, Goofy, Max, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Huey, Dewey, and Louie. Each story focuses on the true meaning of Christmas while imparting lessons about love, forgiveness, selflessness, and friendship.

Making / Production

DisneyToon Studios, the studio behind many successful direct-to-video sequels, was responsible for the production of Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas. For the first time in a Mickey Mouse film, computer-generated imagery (CGI) was used instead of traditional hand-drawn animation. The transition to CGI allowed for richer visuals and increased detail in the characters and settings.
