About Missing in Action 2: The Beginning

Missing In Action 2: The Beginning is a 1985 war action film that serves as a prequel to the 1984 film, Missing In Action. It concerns the backstory of Colonel Braddock during his time imprisoned in the jungle by sadistic Vietnamese Colonel Yin, who is incredibly ruthless in his attempts to break the American soldiers who are POWs. Despite the harsh conditions, Braddock resists and plans an escape for his fellow captives.

The film was directed by Lance Hool and produced by Yoram Globus and Menahem Golan. It was written by Steve Bing, Larry Levinson, and Arthur Silver. Despite its designation as a prequel, it was filmed back-to-back with the original Missing in Action.
