About Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin

Originally released in 2015, Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin is a TV show based on the manga series. The series follows the story of Casval Rem Deikun and Artesia Som Deikun (Char and Seyla), before the One-Year War in UC.0079. It's a thrilling and elaborative tale of political intrigue, our protagonist's coming of age and the genesis of the epic saga known as the 'Gundam'.

Making / Production

The show is an adaptation of a manga written and illustrated by Yoshikazu Yasuhiko. It was produced by animation studio Sunrise which had been responsible for several other installments in the Gundam franchise, and was directed by Takashi Imanishi. The series is well appreciated for both its story arc and the high production value.
