About Monsters, Inc.
'Monsters, Inc.' is a 2001 American computer-animated comedy film produced by Pixar Animation Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Pictures. The film takes us to a world of monsters, where their city's power comes from children's screams, collected as they scare the kids at night. But their world gets topsy-turvy when a little girl, Boo, accidentally enters their world and forms a special bond with two monsters - Sulley and his one-eyed partner and best friend, Mike.
Making / Production
The production of the movie was a collaboration of creative minds from Pixar Animation Studios. The initial idea for the movie was conceived in 1996, and it took almost five years of development and production before it hit the big screen. Pete Docter directed the film, which was Pixar's fourth feature film.
Actors
- John Goodman - Plays the role of James P. "Sulley" Sullivan, a top scarer with a heart of gold. His vocals brought warmth and kindness to the monster.
- Billy Crystal - Voices Mike Wazowski, Sulley's best friend and work partner. His comedic timing and fast-paced delivery added humor to the character.
- Steve Buscemi - lends his voice for the semi-villain 'Randall', and does an excellent job bringing out the slimy nature of the character.
