About Monsters University

Monsters University, a prequel to Monsters, Inc. released in 2013, is an American 3D computer-animated comedy film produced by Pixar Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. The film takes us back in time when Mike and Sulley were just university students studying to become Scarers. From foes to best friends, the movie refashions the characters' origin story and their journey from rivalry to friendship.

Making / Production

The movie was directed by Dan Scanlon and produced by Kori Rae. The team began their exploration in crafting a story around the characters Mike and Sulley from Monsters Inc. The prequel was their way to delve into the characters' past and explore how they became best friends. To sculpt the university environment, the team paid meticulous attention to every detail of architecture, attire and ambience of a typical college space.

Actors

• Billy Crystal as Mike Wazowski - Billy used his variety of voice modulations to create a fun and lovable personality for Mike.
• John Goodman as James P. "Sulley" Sullivan - Goodman showcased Sulley as a compassionate and loyal friend with his deep and warm voice.
