About Muppets Now

Muppets Now is an unscripted short-form series that premiered on Disney+ on July 31, 2020. The series follows Scooter as he navigates the complications and chaos of producing a streaming show. He must meet tight deadlines and please an array of diverse and demanding Muppet stars. The series features spontaneous improv and off-the-wall comedy from our favorite Muppet characters.

Making / Production

The series is a production of The Muppets Studio and Soapbox Films. It was directed by Kirk Thatcher and produced by Andrew Williams, Bill Barretta, and Sabrina Wind. The creative team took a new approach with Muppets Now, exploring a more modern and unscripted format with popular Muppet characters.

Actors

• Bill Barretta as Pepe the King Prawn. Barretta perfectly encapsulates Pepe's brash and bold character.
• Matt Vogel as Kermit the Frog. Vogel lends his voice acting talents to the iconic character, continuing Kermit's legacy of warmth and wisdom.
