About My Favorite Martian

My Favorite Martian is a 1999 comic science fiction film directed by Donald Petrie. Based on the 1960s television show of the same name, the film presents the story of a Martian who comes to Earth and is followed by an ambitious TV news reporter. The reporter, Tim O'Hara, played by Jeff Daniels, stumbles upon 'Uncle Martin', a Martian stranded on Earth, played by Christopher Lloyd. Drama and comedy unfolds as they try to repair the Martian's spaceship, keeping his identity a secret, all while dealing with ensuing hilarious situations.

The film is directed by Donald Petrie, produced by Robert Shapiro and Jerry Leider, and written by Sherri Stoner and Deanna Oliver. It was released on 12, February 1999. Walt Disney Pictures, which produced the film, made use of CGI effects to perform the Martian's morphing abilities and other extraterrestrial elements in the movie.
