About My Sister’s Keeper (HBO)

"My Sister’s Keeper" is a 2009 heartfelt drama film directed by Nick Cassavetes. The plot follows the story of a young girl named Anna, who was genetically engineered as a bone marrow match for her elder sister Kate, who's suffering from leukemia. The story takes a dramatic turn when Anna seeks legal help to emancipate herself from her parents in order to stop undergoing medical procedures.

The film is based on the novel of the same name by Jodi Picoult. The director, Nick Cassavetes, took a sensitive approach to deal with this emotional and moral depth script. The movie was produced by New Line Cinema and released by Warner Bros.
