The Naked Gun 2 1/2: The Smell of Fear, is a 1991 American comedy film produced by Paramount Pictures. It is the sequel to the 1988 film The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad! and the second installment in The Naked Gun film series. The film continues with the comic adventures of Police Squad's Lieutenant Frank Drebin, played by Leslie Nielsen, as he tries to foil a plot to turn the United States into an environmentally damaged country.

Making / Production

Produced by Robert K. Weiss and directed by David Zucker, this movie continued the offbeat humor from the television series Police Squad! This sequel was followed by Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult in 1994.
