The series, which was named after its location in Nashville, Tennessee, first aired on ABC in October 2012. The show's plot follows the lives and careers of several fictitious country music singers and songwriters in Nashville, showcasing the rivalry between a legendary country music superstar, Rayna Jaymes, and a rising younger star, Juliette Barnes.
