About Omen IV: The Awakening

Omen IV: The Awakening is a horror movie released in 1991. It is a made-for-television sequel to "The Omen" series. The plot focuses on a couple who adopt a little girl, Delia, only to discover that she may be the Antichrist's daughter. Dark events start unfolding demonstrating Delia's sinister nature.

Making / Production

The movie was directed by Jorge Montesi and Dominique Othenin-Girard. This sequel did not have the same reception as the original movies and hence ended the original series.

Actors

  • Faye Grant - played the role of Karen York. She illustrated the trauma and fear of a mother suspecting her adopted daughter of being pure evil.
  • Michael Woods - portrayed the character of Gene York. He is shown as a successful politican oblivious to the fact that his adopted daughter is evil.
  • Asia Vieira - played as Delia. Her portrayal of the Antichrist's daughter is both chilling and impressive.

Trivia / Interesting Facts

  • The film's original screenwriters, Brian Taggert and Harvey Bernhard (also a producer), had their names taken off the film.
  • Omen IV: The Awakening was intended to be the first of many television sequels to Twentieth Century Fox's film history.

Quotes

  • "You know, Mrs. York, some people see God everywhere."
  • "She created herself out of sheer will. She willed her own conception. She's evil, Mr. York. Pure evil."

Music, Soundtrack

  • The soundtrack, like the movie, drew mixed reviews. Despite this, it had its high moments, encompassing mysterious, ominous themes.
  • The score was composed by Jonathan Sheffer.
