About Oslo
Oslo, directed by Bartlett Sher and released in May 2021, recounts one of the most integral diplomatic events in the history of international relations in the Middle East — the 1993 Oslo Peace Accords — all facilitated from a series of covert meetings between Israel and the Palestine Liberation Organization. This dramatic film was adapted from a Tony-winning play by J. T. Rogers, who also wrote the screenplay for the film.
Making / Production
The process of making Oslo was a challenging undertaking, primarily because of the delicate and complex nature of the subject matter. The film was shot in Prague, substituting for Oslo in the winter, and the authentic locations for interior scenes. The production team also did a commendable job replicating the intricate details of 1993.
