About Outlander

Outlander is a television drama series based on the novel series of the same name by Diana Gabaldon. It premiered on STARZ in 2014. The show is famed for its rich historical setting, woven around the time-traveling Claire Randall, a married World War II nurse in 1946 who is transported back to Scotland in 1743. There, she encounters the dashing Highland warrior Jamie Fraser and becomes embroiled in the Jacobite risings.
