About The Owl House

The Owl House is an esteemed American animated fantasy television series produced by Disney Television Animation. Created by Dana Terrace, the series premiered on Disney Channel on January 10, 2020. The story revolves around a self-assured teenage girl, Luz Noceda, who stumbles upon a portal to a mystical realm where she befriends a rebellious witch, Eda Clawthorne, and an adorably tiny warrior, King. Despite not having magical capablilities, Luz aspires to become a witch by serving as Eda's apprentice at the Owl House and proceeds to find a new family in an unexpected place.

Making/Production

Developed under Disney Television Animation, the series creator, Dana Terrace, pitched the series to Disney after working as a storyboard artist on Gravity Falls and as a director on the first season of the 2017 DuckTales series. The Owl house represents the first animated series to be greenlit by Disney that is created by a woman.
