The Peanuts Movie is a 2015 American animated comedy film directed by Steve Martino. The film is a heartfelt tribute to the iconic comic strip characters created by Charles M. Schulz, audiences are reintroduced to Charlie Brown, his lovable dog, Snoopy, and his eclectic group of friends. The story revolves around Charlie Brown as he embarks on a quest to get noticed by the little-red-haired girl, while his best friend Snoopy embarks on his own epic adventure, commandeering his doghouse as a flying aircraft to engage his arch-nemesis, the Red Baron.

Making / Production

The Peanuts movie was produced by Blue Sky Studios, and was their first film to be made in a widescreen aspect ratio. Directed by Steve Martino, the filmmakers made every effect to respect and maintain the simplicity and innocence of the original comic strip. The screenplay was penned by Bryan Schulz, Craig Schulz, and Cornelius Uliano, keeping the Schulz legacy alive in this cinematic interpretation.
