About PERSONA5 the Animation

PERSONA5 the Animation is a captivating anime television series released in 2018. Based on the video game Persona 5, it revolves around a high school student who moves to Tokyo and becomes a phantom thief to reform society. The main character, Ren Amamiya, initially lives a normal student life and attends Shujin Academy, until he gets falsely accused of assault by a corrupt politician. Consequently, he is put on probation and is forced to move. His life takes a drastic turn when he discovers his ability to enter a supernatural realm known as the Metaverse and change people's hearts.

The anime is produced by the anime studio CloverWorks. Masashi Ishihama is the director of the series, while the script is cleverly handled by Shinichi Inotsume. Renowned video game developer, Atlus, produced the original franchise, leading to a well-paced and intriguing storyline in the anime adaptation.
