About Phineas and Ferb The Movie: Candace Against the Universe

In "Phineas and Ferb The Movie: Candace Against the Universe", Candace feels unmotivated and unappreciated by her brothers Phineas and Ferb. After being taken to a UFO, she discovers a far-off planet and decides to rule over it. Phineas, Ferb, and the gang set out on an intergalactic rescue mission to save Candace while uncovering the true intent of the aliens.

Making / Production

The film was created by Dan Povenmire and Jeff Marsh, who served as executive producers. It is the second feature-length film of the Phineas and Ferb series, after the show's 2011 TV film "Across the 2nd Dimension". The movie was released on Disney+ on August 28, 2020. Production of the film started in 2016 and continued despite the series officially ending in 2015.

Actors

  • Vincent Martella as Phineas. He brought back his cheerful and enthusiastic approach to the character, making Phineas as lovable as ever.
  • Ashley Tisdale as Candace. As the stressed and exasperated older sister, her performance conveyed the frustration and the desire for recognition that drove Candace's character throughout the movie.
  • David Errigo Jr. took over as Ferb, bringing a fresh voice to the character while maintaining Ferb’s familiar silent and ingenious traits.
