Directed by Elizabeth Banks and released in 2015, Pitch Perfect 2 is the second installment of the Pitch Perfect series. The plot follows the story of The Barden Bellas, an all-girl a capella group, after an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction during President Barack Obama's birthday performance leads them to national humiliation. Their journey back to regain their status includes winning an international a cappella competition that no American team has ever won before.

Pitch Perfect 2 was directed by Elizabeth Banks, who marks her directorial debut with this film. The screenplay was written by Kay Cannon, based on characters created by Mickey Rapkin. It was produced by Paul Brooks, Max Handelman, and Elizabeth Banks under the production companies Gold Circle Films and Brownstone Productions.

Actors

• Anna Kendrick as Beca Mitchell - Anna delivers a great performance, showing Beca's musical talents and leadership skills as she leads the Bellas back to their glory.

• Hailee Steinfeld as Emily Junk - Introduced in this installment, Hailee beautifully portrays the young and optimistic character as she brings a freshness to the Bellas.
• Brittany Snow as Chloe Beale - Brittany returned to the sequel with her strong performance, where Chloe's passion for the Bellas is made evident throughout the film.

• Pentatonix, a real-life acapella group winners of NBC's "The Sing-Off", makes a cameo as the Canadian team at the World Championships.
