"Planet Earth II" is a 2017 British nature documentary series produced by the BBC as a sequel to "Planet Earth", which was broadcast in 2006. The series is presented and narrated by Sir David Attenborough, with the main theme music composed by Hans Zimmer.

The documentary series showcases the natural world in all its splendor, bringing viewers eye-to-eye with the animal kingdom’s most intriguing species. The series eventuates in six different habitats – Islands, Mountains, Jungles, Deserts, Grasslands, and Cities.

"Planet Earth II" was the first television series produced by the BBC in Ultra-high-definition (4K), 10 years after the original "Planet Earth". The production involved 117 filming trips in 40 different countries and took over four years to make.
