Plunderer is a Japanese manga series adapted into an animated TV series that first premiered in January 2020. This futuristic tale created by Suu Minazuki is based on his manga of the same name. It uniquely blends elements of adventure, fantasy, and action.
In the world of Plunderer, every human being carries a "Count," which could represent anything from the number of kilometers traveled to how many people have said your food is delicious. Should your Count drop to zero, you'll be dragged into the Abyss. The central character, Hina, inherits a mission from her mother - to search for the legendary Red Baron. The story takes a turn as she meets a mysterious masked knight calling himself Licht.

Making / Production

Plunderer's anime adaptation has been produced by renowned animation studio Geek Toys, known for their works such as 'RErideD: Derrida,' with Hiroyuki Kanbe (director of Oreimo) as the director. Masashi Suzuki (scriptwriter for Isuca and Oda Nobuna no Yabou) handled the series composition.
