About The Powerpuff Girls
The Powerpuff Girls is a popular animated action-comedy television series. Created by animator Craig McCracken and produced by Hanna-Barbera (later Cartoon Network Studios), the show centers around the Powerpuff Girls - Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup - three kindergarten-aged girls with superpowers. They live in the fictional city of Townsville, USA with their father and creator, a scientist named Professor Utonium. The series focuses on the girls using their powers to defend their town from villains and giant monsters. In addition, they also have to juggle normal children's issues like going to school, bedtimes, and sibling rivalry.
Making / Production
The show was made using traditional ink-and-paint animation and was inspired by a birthday card Craig McCracken drew for his brother. It originally aired on Cartoon Network and ran for 78 episodes from November 18, 1998, to March 25, 2005. The series features a distinctive, colorful art style, and fast-paced narrative to appeal to both children and adults.
