The Powerpuff Girls is an American animated television series created by animator Craig McCracken and produced by Hanna-Barbera (later Cartoon Network Studios) for Cartoon Network. The show, which premiered on November 18, 2016, revolves around Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup, three kindergarten-aged girls with superpowers, as well as their father and creator, a scientist named Professor Utonium. The girls all live in the fictional city of Townsville, USA and are frequently called upon by the city's mayor to help fight nearby criminals and other enemies using their powers.

Making / Production

The show was developed by Nick Jennings and Bob Boyle, who were both part of the original Powerpuff Girls series. It continues the story of Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup, including the animation style of the original, but with modern touches. The voice cast from the original series returned for the new series with new additions.
