About The Princess and the Frog
The Princess and the Frog is an animated musical fantasy film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios in 2009. It unfolds in 1920s New Orleans, where Tiana dreams of opening her own restaurant. Everything takes an unexpected turn when she kisses a frog prince who desperately wishes to be human again. The spell goes awry and instead of the prince turning into a human, Tiana herself transforms into a frog. The two then embark on an adventure through bayous to find a voodoo priestess who can reverse the curse.
Making / Production
Directed by Ron Clements and John Musker, The Princess and the Frog marked Disney's return to traditional animation after a brief shift towards computer animation. The film was produced by Peter Del Vecho and the story is an original creation inspired by the novel "The Frog Princess" by E.D. Baker.
